Ruth Ammon is one of the most prolific production designers today, creating period, fantasy and contemporary worlds, and has become a formidable force in design on television.

Most recently, Ruth completed Paramount TV/HBO Max’s “Station Eleven” with standout director Hiro Murai, "The Alienist: Angel of Darkness," the second season of the period series “The Alienist” and in 2018 designed the pilot and first season of “Dirty John.”

Ruth has also designed on Showtime's "I'm Dying Up Here", Amazon's "Jack Ryan" and Starz's half-hour drama "Vida." During her three­ and-a-half-year run on the hit series, "Heroes," Ruth was nominated for three Emmy Awards and two Art Director's Guild Awards.

Ruth has established the  look for many notable shows including "The Following", "Weeds", the  reboot series "Charlie's Angels," the final season of NBC's "Smash", AMC's "Low Winter Sun" and SyFy Channel's "12 Monkeys." Additionally, she has worked on several of MlV and Comedy Central's most iconic sketch comedies, stand-up specials and talk shows such as "The State," "Storytellers" and "The Daily Show."

Prior to venturing into television, she established herself in New York's independent film scene, working on films such as "Crime and Punishment in Suburbia" and "Drop Dead Gorgeous."

 Ruth earned her bachelor's degrees in art and art history at Muhlenberg College and Oxford Polytechnic in Oxford, U.K.
